As you are well aware, these last few weeks represent a particularly important season in the life of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Through our Connections campaign, we have joined together in prayer and discernment, seeking God’s wisdom for the next phase of our shared ministry.
On Sunday, May 18, we all have an opportunity to make our commitments to the building renovation project that will further enable our ministry in Central Louisiana.
By this point we’ve all received a commitment card in the mail. I hope that you and your family have taken time to prayerfully discuss how you might contribute in such a way to help fulfill the vision before us.
At the close of worship on Commitment Sunday, we will have a dedicated time of returning these cards. Remember also to return the small piece of tile that you picked up last week. I encourage each person to inscribe on the back of that tile a one-word prayer for Emmanuel’s future. You might choose to write the name of a friend or loved one you hope to be blessed through our ministry. We will have more tiles available for those who didn’t receive one last week. These tiles will be incorporated into a mosaic as part of our building renovation.
And don’t forget that we have a wonderful celebration luncheon provided immediately following worship. I believe this will be a day for expressing and sharing our gratitude for all that God has done – and will continue doing through our fellowship.
Thank you for the many ways you have been involved in this bold endeavor. Together we trust in our Lord, who makes all things new in his grace.
